Just south of Dobó István tér, this is the place you should go if you want the local “wild” cuisine served as it was to Prince Rákóczi. It is not the cheapest, but it’s absolutely the best quality. That means stag and wild grouse, rabbit and mushroom, not to mention paprika-laced stews and gravys. The wild flavor is present even in the sumptuous sour cream dressings. The piano accompanies other instruments nightly in hunting lodge-style surroundings. It is often booked up by the locals as well as by visitors, as you would expect, so reservations are definitely advised.
